Passion

Team sport shaped how I lead.

Leading teams under pressure taught me the same lesson I now apply to programs: a plan is only as good as the team's shared commitment to run it. I still look for that same accountability in every room I lead.

“The best programs run the way the best teams play — on trust built before the pressure shows up.”

Basic Mountaineering Course, HMI Darjeeling

MARCH 2019

I completed the 28-day Basic Mountaineering Course at the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI) in Darjeeling — a program built around the fundamentals of rock, snow and ice climbing. Training opened at HMI's campus and Tenzing Rock with physical conditioning, knot tying, belaying, rappelling and bouldering, then moved into a trek from Yuksum (1,850m) to Tshoka (3,048m) to acclimatize, before base camp training at Chaurikhang (4,450m) covering glacier travel, ice climbing, anchoring and crevasse rescue.

  • Summited Mt. Rhenock (5,029m) independently during the course.
  • Achieved a Grade ‘A’ certification, reflecting a high level of competence across all training modules.
  • Recommended for the Advanced Mountaineering Course on the strength of performance.

Riding for a Greener Tomorrow

MAY 2016 – JUN 2016

Inspired by The Motorcycle Diaries, my friend Akbar Sha and I set out on a 46-day motorcycle journey across 18 Indian states, covering 12,538 km. The trip was as much about environmental conservation as adventure — as part of our initiative to promote a greener planet, we carried and planted over 150 seeds and seedlings along the way, and handed out many more to people we met, in support of sustainable living, community engagement and ecological responsibility.

Furniture Design & Making

MAY 2021 – JUN 2021

From a sketch to my own workspace. I love figuring out how things are made—and learning by making them myself. Over a month, I designed and built a custom wood-and-metal desk and chair, from the first sketches and material selection to cutting, assembly and polishing.

I planned the dimensions, sourced and rented tools, and handled the build myself, with a little help on the welding. To complete the workspace, I repurposed an old jug into a desk lamp—cutting open the bottom, sealing the top, and fitting a bulb holder. Every piece carries the joy of experimenting, learning new skills, and turning an idea into something I could use every day.
